My Brief Story *

While growing up it seemed I always had a camera near by, whether it was the family Brownie or my Dad’s camera that he let me use.  I normally took landscape photos but some at races and at parties too.  My folks bought me a camera to take on cruise when I was at CMA and I used that for years, when I went to sea and while I was in the Army. When I retired in 2008 I wanted to take up a hobby to help pass my free time. It was suggested to look into taking photos and doing some photography and so I took one semester at Solano Community College. It was more than I had planned on since it was a 4 hour class each week for the full semester and required home work assignments but it worked out. After finishing the course I joined a photo group in Sacramento, Viewpoint Photographic Art Center, took some workshops and entered a few shows and before long I was “making” photos. I enjoy the photography itself, the places I have visited and especially people I have met, and of course the stories that I associate with the images.
